Makroudh
Makroudh is a traditional Algerian pastry that is made from semolina, almond flour and sweet spices. The dish is usually served on special occasions and festivals. Its crispy exterior, soft and chewy interior and sweet spiced filling makes it an irresistible treat.

- 1 cup semolina flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp orange blossom water
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Mix the semolina and almond flour in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon and orange blossom water.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Roll the dough into thin fingers.
- Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the fingers until they are golden brown.
- Drain the fried makroudh on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
