Xima
Xima is a traditional staple dish from Mozambique made with cornmeal, cassava flour and spices. This dish is versatile and can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s a delicious blend of sweet and savory flavors that will tantalize your taste buds!

- Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup cassava flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp butter
- Preparation:
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add salt, paprika and turmeric.
- Add in the cornmeal and cassava flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the butter and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
